We are a six bed Level II NICU within Sequoia Hospital, specializing in the assessment and management of newborns with suspected sepsis, respiratory distress, and prematurity. Our Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford (Stanford Children's) registered nurses attend all Sequoia deliveries and provide well newborn services. Our trained team is equipped to stabilize and prepare critical care newborns for transport. Our multidisciplinary team includes Stanford Children's nurses, a social worker, unit service assistants, Stanford neonatologists and neonatal hospitalists, working in collaboration with Sequoia Hospital's health care team. Our nurses and physicians partner with physical therapists, occupational therapists, developmental specialists, respiratory therapists, dietitians, lactation specialists, case management and chaplaincy to provide a full spectrum of family centered infant care. We offer a parent room, an overnight sleep room, complimentary meal vouchers, shuttle service between Sequoia Hospital and public transportation as well as convenient free parking.
