The Division of Neonatology at UC San Diego hosts the neonatal-perinatal fellowship program with two primary clinical sites. The UCSD Jacobs Medical Center is a busy level 3 NICU with > 4000 deliveries annually. The Rady Children’s Hospital NICU is the largest children’s hospital in California with the NICU receiving patients from San Diego County and beyond. Both units care for a diverse patient population with both border and indigent health issues. Fellows engage in scholarly work in clinical, translational, basic science, educational, and health services research.
